NATURAL LAW

Natural law is a philosophy that suggests there are universal moral principles inherent in human nature and discoverable through reason. It holds that certain rights and wrongs exist independently of human laws or customs—rooted in the idea that all people, by virtue of being human, have access to a shared sense of justice, fairness, and morality.

From a biblical study natural law is demonstrated through the words of Jesus Matthew 22:37-40

"Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."

This Golden Rule of loving thy neighbor as thyself is not only found in the Bible but across other great cultural traditions.
